Wordtune Vs Grammarly: Overview
The rise of AI writing tools has made it confusing to pick the right option. Since each tool has distinct features, it’s essential to have a broad overview before settling for a choice.
Wordtune Overview
Wordtune was designed primarily to help writers like you and me improve the clarity, tone, and effectiveness of our writing. It offers multiple style suggestions, such as formal, informal, casual, etc., to refine the written text easily. With Wordtune suggestions, you can enhance the text’s readability apart from brushing up on the tone and style.
Wordtune also provides grammar and spelling suggestions to improve the outcome of the write-up. However, it does not have a plagiarism checker and does not have enough features to point out every single writing mistake you may make.
Grammarly Overview
Grammarly is one of the oldest and most popular writing software that’s been around for over a decade. It offers a range of features like grammar, spelling, and punctuation checkers to make a text error-free.
Additionally, Grammarly has a tone detector and style analyzer that highlights wordy, lengthy, and complicated sentences and provides better suggestions. This extensive range of writing aids helps eliminate repetitive words and other writing fallacies that could have a negative impact on your readers.
However, my favorite feature of Grammarly is its plagiarism detector. The tool can scan your text against those billions of pages on the internet and scrape out matching results.
Whether you’re an academician, a blogger, a copywriter, or an editor, you know the consequences of plagiarized text. But Grammarly saves the deal for us by helping us get rid of them all.

Winner: Grammarly for its comprehensive writing assistance.

Wordtune Vs Grammarly: Which Has Better User Interface?
Even though user interface may not be the first concern when selecting a writing assistant software, it definitely is a crucial factor to consider. It can be frustrating if the system takes you days to get the hang of it, and you’ll probably think of switching to an easier tool within just a couple of days.
Let’s not wait for the unpleasant outcome and learn about Wordtune and Grammarly’s interface:
Wordtune Ease of Use
One of the first things that caught my attention about Wordtune is how easy it is to use. There is no learning curve, and using the tool is super quick and easy. All you have to do is paste the text you want to rewrite and click on the rewrite button on the bottom left.
Wordtune will present various alternatives to the original paragraph as soon as you do that. The premium version goes a step ahead and gives you the option to choose among different rewriting tonalities. And the tool will rephrase your text based on the chosen mode (formal or informal).
Wordtune red flags grammatically incorrect sentences or phrases. And you can correct them by clicking on marked texts.
You can integrate Wordtune with Google Docs or MS Word and keep rephrasing paragraphs on the go while also correcting grammar errors.
Grammarly Ease of Use
Grammarly also does a fantastic job in terms of ease of use. Its clean layout makes maneuvering through the tool effortless. Once you upload or paste your text, Grammarly quickly points out all the errors.
I love the fact that Grammarly scores the total number of errors, and they are segmented according to correctness, clarity, engagement, delivery, and plagiarism. You can check all suggestions together to ensure they are correct.
But I prefer to click on each tab separately. Doing so makes it easier for me to understand and accept the suggestions wisely.
Upon correcting syntactical errors, I click on the plagiarism tab to find probable instances of plagiarism.

Winner: It’s a tie!
Wordtune Vs. Grammarly: Which Is More Accurate?
Comparing both tools on the accuracy parameter won’t be justified since their purposes are different. Wordtune is solely a rewriting tool, while Grammarly is an all-around writing aid software. In my opinion, both tools are accurate but in varied ways.
I have already mentioned that Grammarly primarily focuses on correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors and fixes style and tonality issues. It does an exceptional job.
For example, I copied a paragraph from this guide, and Grammarly immediately pointed out nine mistakes. I know I can rely on this tool to save me from even the most insignificant writing mistakes.
Can I have the same faith in Wordtune? To be honest, No.
We cannot blame Wordtune because it isn’t primarily designed to save you from all writing errors. Its sole purpose is to help you improve your writing by providing better writing suggestions. So, if you want to write better, Wordtune can definitely be your top choice.
Having said that, you may have to check your Wordtune processed text on Grammarly to clear it of supposed mistakes.
Winner: Grammarly is more accurate than Wordtune.
Please note that all Grammarly suggestions aren’t always very appropriate. The software can’t recognize names and specific terms with odd spellings, so you may be suggested to change them. Therefore, be aware of accepting all suggestions blindly.
Wordtune Vs Grammarly: Grammar Checker
I have tried several writing tools besides these two, but nothing impressed me the way Grammarly did when it came to checking grammar and spelling errors.
Well, it’s no surprise because Grammarly was curated to simplify the tedious proofreading job. And its name completely justifies its purpose. The tool is best for checking all types of writing, such as academic papers, blogs, articles, copies, and more.
It quickly catches even the most minor errors not visible to the naked eye.
Does Wordtune match Grammarly’s level? No, it does not.
While Wordtune does help get rid of simple mistakes, it does not go as deep as Grammarly. Since, as an AI tool, the suggestions offered by Wordtune are generally free from syntactical errors, the makers didn’t focus on providing an additional grammar checker.
However, users often improvise Wordtune sentences, which can lead to grammar and spelling errors. Wordtune does not help much here.
Winner: Grammarly is a clear winner in this category.
Wordtune Vs Grammarly: How Does Plagiarism Checker Work?
Grammarly has a robust plagiarism checker that scans your text against billions of web results to find copied texts (if any). It shows the percentage of matching results to help users remove the copied information.
A higher percentage of plagiarism indicates a significant problem of duplicate content, which should not be published under any circumstances. Usually, I overlook plagiarism of 1% to 2% as they are basic phrases we commonly use while writing.
Wordtune does not have a plagiarism tool as yet. Hence, comparing the two tools in this category would make no sense.
Wordtune Vs Grammarly: Which is More Secure?
Increasing cases of data breaches have raised security concerns. People always enquire about the security policy before uploading their valuable content on any web-based tool.
You can use Wordtune and Grammarly worry-free because they have advanced security and privacy policies in place to protect users’ data.
Grammarly’s security policy does not allow access to sensitive information like crucial dates, passwords, card numbers, and CCV. Moreover, the team made it clear that Grammarly isn’t using its data for unfair purposes.
Wordtune equally cares about maintaining the privacy of your data. Wordtune encrypts all data sent between its users’ computers and its server so that you never have to face issues of data breaching.
I have used both tools, and I can say that I haven’t faced issues related to data privacy.
Wordtune Vs. Grammarly: Integrations With Other Tools
Grammarly allows interaction with Google Docs, MS Word, Surfer, Clearscope, Outlook, and a few other writing tools. It further has an easy integration system with Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
You can also integrate Grammarly with other social media and messaging tools like Facebook, Slack, Gmail, LinkedIn, etc. Overall, it has great flexibility when it comes to integration, and users won’t have to face any issues.
Wordtune offers a comparable level of integration flexibility as Grammarly. You can use Wordtune seamlessly with Google Docs, MS Word, Gmail, Outlook, Google Chrome, Slack, LinkedIn, Twitter, Whatsapp, and more.
Winner: It’s a tie. Both Grammarly and Wordtune integrate seamlessly with other platforms.
Wordtune Vs. Grammarly: Pricing Plans
Let’s compare the price plans of the two tools and see which one provides cost-effective deals:
Price Plans | Grammarly | Wordtune |
---|---|---|
Free version | Basic Grammar checking and sentence rephrasing (no word count limitations) | Basic paraphrasing and rewriting (no word count limitations) |
Monthly | $30 per month | $24.99 per month |
Quarterly | $20 per month | N/A |
Annual | $12 per month | $9.99 per month |
Grammarly is slightly expensive. But the range of features offered by Grammarly makes up for it. And the price quoted by Wordtune for its minimal features also makes sense. So it’s ultimately up to you which tool you require most and make the decision accordingly.
